Hmmmmm, Another one of those scams that gets pushed thru so somebody makes a lot of money on. If it were investigated the people that pushed to get the disposable bags banned had probably already invested in the trash bag industry! Remember the Freon scam! The people that invented R132 got R12 banned and ,made millions!

Well, Wifey and I have been re-using canvas/cotton/plastic BYOB when shopping for many a year. We've certainly exceeded 327 times. But especially now that we're back in the US where plastic bags are so profligate, we do sometimes intentionally not bring our own bags so that we can collect some free garbage bags so handy for our small bathroom and office wastebaskets. The only part of the plastic bags that bugs me is that most recycling programs (in the US) won't take them, and the stores that push them stopped putting boxes to drop them off out front. So how the heck do you recycle them anymore? It used to be easy. Now, not so much. That gross inconvenience needs to be fixed at least. Even an herb as sweet as basil is nothing without its bite.
